These are droids (right) - of varying designs and types - used as
armies by various factions. Usually designed in the image of whichever species
uses them.

Pit Droids
On planets where pod racing takes place, these droids (right) work
in the pits, maintaining the pods and engines.
Small, but extremely strong, pit droids fold up into a compact storage pack
when not in use.
