Quark (1978)

A short-lived (8-episode) American spoof science fiction series, about Adam Quark, the captain of a United Galactic Sanitation Patrol spaceship. His crew included Gene/Jean (A 'transmute' with a full set of both male and female chromosomes), Ficus (an advanced vegetable life form), Betty and Betty (one of whom was a clone of the other, but they both claimed to be the 'original'), and Andy the robot (a walking pile of junk... literally, as he was built from spare parts).

The Questor Tapes/Android Wird Gejagt (1974)

Questor is an intelligent android, the creation of genius Dr. Vaslovik, who disappeared during Questor's development, together with part of the android's programming tape. Vaslovik's colleagues complete Questor, who then flees and embark's on a search for his creator.
