A wry, often tongue-in-cheek 105-episode spy spoof series. The series featured the adventures of super-smooth Napoleon Solo and his colleague, the pragmatic Ilya Kuryakin, both agents of U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law and Enforcement), as they battled against the evil forces of THRUSH.

The Sort-of-Do-It-Yourself-Dreadful Affair (1966)

Solo is nearly killed by Margo Hayward, a super-human robot girl, one of a robot army invented by Dr. Pertwee for THRUSH. When Ilya investigates, he discovers Pertwee's laboratory and is attacked by a whole roomful of the robots.

In the near future, the police are being assisted by (not very sophisticated) robot patrolmen. Then policeman Bobby Mann is given a new partner, Eve - a voluptuous female android, a protoype for an advanced AI robot.

A 22-episode science fiction series. Crippled scientist Dr. Hawkins invents M.A.N.T.I.S. - a body suit that 's designed to allow him to walk normally - and finds that the suit provides him with near-super powers. Hawkins/M.A.N.T.I.S. becomes a crime-fighter, in order to catch criminals who would otherwise remain free. 

The Eyes Beyond (1994)

During a laboratory experiment, Hawkins/M.A.N.T.I.S. is sent 32 years into the future, when the city is run by a robot which uses city-wide mechanical eyes to monitor its domain.

Virtually Falling Down/Soldier of Misfortune (1994)

One of Hawkins' ex-colleagues - now a crazed genius - programs a VR robot to do his bidding.

A 39-episode children's comedy (?) series. Ken, a young boy, builds a robot - Metal Mickey - to do the everyday chores around the house. Mickey (which constantly rattled out its catchphrase "Boogie Boogie!") had magical powers, and got Ken and the rest of the family into all sorts of trouble..

 The series was produced and directed by ex-Monkee Micky Dolenz.

An 8-episode science fiction series (though only 7 episodes were ever shown), set in the 23rd century. Mercy point is the port of entry/space hospital of the Jericho colony, across the Sahartic Divide from Earth. Staffed by humans, aliens and androids, Mercy Point provides health care for the colony and for passing spaceships. The series featured Ani (Android Nursing Interface).

The Metal Martyr/Thirty Minute Theatre: The Metal Martyr (1967)

A short drama screened as part of BBC2's Thirty Minute Theatre series. In a future in which the robots have revolted against mankind and now rule society, Robot Two suddenly thinks that he is a man. This new idea has far-reaching consequences.

A 30-episode children's adventure serial (or was it just a huge marketing ploy?). The Rangers are just ordinary teenagers who can 'morph' into superheroes. The Rangers - with their associated 'super' weaponry and the Thunderzords, their robotic fighting machines - battle to save the Earth from the machinations of the evil Rita Repulsa. The series also featured Alpha 5, their robotic Ranger Assistant.

A 93-episode comedy series about the (mis)adventures of Mork - an alien from the planet Ork - who comes to live on Earth.

Dr. Morkenstein (1979)

While working as a night watchman, Mork meets Chuck - a robot who is soon about to be dismantled, because his circuitry is starting to fail. Mork programs Chuck to play games and converse with him, and the robot eventually develops emotions. When Chuck follows Mork home, the two 'buddies' start to hang out together, their antics driving everyone around them crazy.

Chuck was played by Roddy McDowall (Planet of the Apes), and Robby the Robot (from Forbidden Planet) also featured in this episode.

The Mr. Zed Show (1995-2000)

A comedy series broadcast on the Orbit Satellite TV network. The series was written by and starred David Kirk Traylor as the robot comedian Mr. Zed, the "Internationally Famous Master of Mechani-Zed Mirth".

Mr. Zed has also made guest appearances on numerous TV programs in the USA, Canada, UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, Japan and Venezuela, and has given command performances for the Pope and the President of the USA. Use the WEB link above to visit Mr. Zed's official web site.

A TV film based on the television comedy series The Munsters. When robot look-alikes pull off a jewellery theft, everyone thinks that the real Herman and Grandpa did it. The Munsters must find the real culprits and prove their innocence.

A 107-episode comedy series about a Martian who crash-lands on Earth during a routine reconnaissance mission. His landing is witnessed by a young reporter, who rescues the Martian, who then moves in and lives with him as his Uncle Martin.

The Man from Uncle Martin (1966)

A con-man sells Alvin (Mrs. Brown's brother) a worthless robot. When Uncle Martin accidentally animates the robot using his powers of levitation, Mrs. Brown thinks the robot must have been a good investment. So that she won't lose all her money, Martin has to locate the con-man and get him to buy the robot back.

A long-running comedy series. Air Force psychologist Bob McDonald lives with Rhoda Miller, an extremely attractive young woman. However, Rhoda is really AFF709, a complex (but naive) Air Force robot, and it's Bob's job to teach Rhoda how to be a perfect woman (while at the same time trying to keep her real identity secret).

A science fiction comedy series. In the Deep 13 research centre, mad scientist Dr. Forrester and his crazy assistant Frank get bored with their real work, so they decide to send Mike Nelson, a temp, to the space station Satellite of Love. There, Mike - in the company of three weird robots, Gypsy, Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot, built out of parts of the satellite - has to stand up to the barrage of 'B' movies which the mad scientists on Earth are forcing him to watch. (The series also featured nanites.)
