The Last Starfighter (1984)

A teenager who is a video game ace is recruited by a representative of the Empire, in order to defend them against renegades in outer space. While the teenager is fighting for the Empire, he is replaced by a robot double back on Earth.

Living Doll (1986)

Certainly not to be confused with the TV comedy series ! This film shows what happens in a large store when the lights go out, and features randy dolls /soft toys, and an electronic woman.

Logan's Run (1976)

In a futuristic city where everyone is 'renewed' (i.e killed) on their 30th birthday, Logan is a sandman, whose job is to stop 'runners' (people who are trying to avoid their fate) from escaping. On leaving the city while chasing a runner, Logan realises that life after 30 is possible, and so ends the senseless tyranny of the city. The film features a robot (Box) in the ice tunnels under the city. Originally designed to freeze animals for foodstuffs for the city, he now catches - and freezes - runners.

Lorca and the Outlaws/Starship/2084 (1985)

On the desert planet Ordessa, Lorca leads of a gang of rebels against the villain and his police droids.

Lost In Space (1998)

Professor John Robinson, his wife, son and two daughters, together with pilot Don West, set off in the Jupiter 2 to the distant planet of Alpha Prime. Also aboard is an inadvertent stowaway (Doctor Smith) who has reprogrammed the ship's robot to sabotage the mission. The crew manage to avert the destruction of the ship by the robot, but find themselves lost.

The Lost Planet/Planet Men (1953)

As part of his plan to conquer the universe, mad scientist Dr. Grood - despotic ruler of the planet Ergro - kidnaps Professor Dorn, together with Dorn's daughter, a reporter and his photographer. Using Dorn's inventions, the reporter is able to free Ergro. Grood escapes on his 'cosmojet' spaceship and orders his robot to set course for outer space, but the robot mistakenly sets course for 'infinity'. Features robots Karlo/Robot R-4 and Wesley Brenn/Robot R-9.

After the Great War, mankind consists of the Shants and the controlling Elite. Banned by the Elites from indulging in intimate contact of any kind, the Shants develop a time machine so they can go back to when love and affection (i.e. sex) were still legal. The film features a sex-android (of course).
