The Ice Pirates (1984)

On a distant planet where water is scarce, the population is ruled by the evil Templars. Two space pirates who land on the planet are captured by a princess, who then enlists their aid in helping to save her father, who has disappeared after having found out information dangerous to the Templars. In their quest, the pirates - together with Percy the robot - encounter robots and androids which they do battle with. |

The robot gets damaged during the chase, but Curly rebuilds it to help him and his friends prove their innocence. |

Robby is then taken over by the computer, which wants to take over the world. Eventually, Robby destroys the computer.
