Captain Video/Captain Video, Master of the Stratosphere (1951)

Based on the TV series (Captain Video and His Video Rangers), this film depicts Captain Video's adventures battling the evil Vultura on the planet Atoma. The film features a number of robots, one of whom is actually the famous Tobor (from Tobor the Great).

Cartas Boca Arriba/Attack of the Robots/Cartes sur Table (1966)

A mad (of course) scientist uses an army of robot monsters to control people.

Il Casanova di Federico Fellini/Federico Fellini's Casanova (1976)

Fellini's accounts of the amorous exploits of the (in)famous rake Casanova. The film features a mechanical doll.

Castle of Evil (1966)

Three scientists gathered on a remote island to see what they will inherit from a mad scientists's will are threatened by the deceased scientist's murderous robot. The robot has been programmed to kill the scientist which disfigured it's master. The robot is eventually destroyed by a laser gun, found in its master's laboratory.

Cherry 2000 (1987)

A business man's android wife, Cherry model 2000, blows a fuse, so he hires a 'tracker' to find her double. (Robby the Robot from 'Forbidden Planet' also makes an appearance in this film.)

Chikyu Boeigun/The Mysterians/Earth Defence Force (1957)

Aliens visit Earth in order to find women with whom they can breed, in order to repopulate planet, which has been devastated by nuclear explosions. They set loose a giant robot bird, Mogella, which can emit death rays from its eyes. Mogella is eventually destroyed when a bridge collapses while it is walking across it.

C.H.O.M.P.S. (1979)

A boy invents a robot dog (Canine HOMe Protection System) which possesses super strength and X-ray vision, and can detect crimes being committed. An evil businessman tries to steal the robot.

Chopping Mall/Killbots/R.O.B.O.T. (1986)

Teenagers hide in a shopping mall until it closes so that they can have a secret party. The shopping mall's automated security system goes wrong, and the teenagers have to try and escape the deadly intentions of the robot security guards - the Killbots - and get out of the mall.

Circuit Breaker (1997)

While travelling in space, a family comes across a drifting damaged spaceship, and they rescue a single survivor who's supposedly in shock. Investigating, the father finds out that all of the rest of the crew have been killed. With the father stranded on the damaged ship, the survivor - who is revealed as an ammoral deranged android - starts to terrorize the wife and daughter. (Yep, you guessed it. It's really 'Dead Calm' in space.)

Circuitry Man/Circulatory Man (1990)

In a pollution-ridden future, one of the few pleasures left to mankind is a type of narcotic chip which can be plugged directly into the brain. Lori, together with her companion Danner - a pleasure android - steals a case of the chips and tries to smuggle them to New York, pursued by a dangerous criminal.

Clash of the Titans (1981)

A mythological tale, in which Perseus has to rescue Andromeda from 'a fate worse than death'. In his adventures, Perseus has to capture Pegasus (the flying horse), kill Medusa and overcome the giant Kraken. The film features 'Bubo', a mechanical owl.

Class of 1999 (1990)

Undetected, robot teachers have been placed in schools where the students are unruly. When the robot teachers become too enthusiastic in their discipline, the students start to suspect something is wrong. Eventually, all of the robots are destroyed.

Class of 1999 II: The Substitute (1994)

A follow-on from Class of 1999. One of the robot teachers, calling himself John Bolen, wasn't in fact destroyed, and starts to spread violence and destruction to other high schools.

Code of Silence (1985)

A Chicago police officer fights the gangs, aided by a police robot called Prowler

Comedia Fantastica/A Fantastic Comedy (1975)

A robot is sent to Earth by aliens in order to find new sources of energy.

Come Rubare la Corona d'Inghilterra/How to Steal the Crown of England/The Incredible Paris Incident (1967)

A superhero/superspy spoof, in which the hero - Argoman - battles against the evil wicked Jenabelle and her army of killer robots. (Argoman, whose powers include incredible strength, telekinesis and other psychic abilities, is a bit of a playboy... unfortunately, if he sleeps with a woman, he loses his powers for 6 hours!)

Conquest of the Earth (1980)

The Battlestar Galactica has found Earth and is trying to warn its inhabitants of the imminent Cylon attack. (Click on the PROOF link above for details of the robots in the film.)

Coppelia ou la Poupee Animee/Coppelia the Animated Doll (1900)

A version of Delibes' ballet Coppelia, with an automaton as a life size dancing girl.

Cracked Nuts (1941)

A man wins some money in a radio competition and goes to New York to propose marriage to his girlfriend. While there, he meets two con artists who are trying to sell a fake robot.

Crash and Burn (1990)

The Unicom organisation virually runs the world after an economic collape. When a Unicom Synth robot kills a revolutionary against the organisation, a delivery man steps in to 'save the day'.

Creation of the Humanoids/Revolt of the Humanoids (1962)

Post World War III, the human race has rebuilt the world with the aid of human-like robots called 'Clickers'. The Clickers want equality with humans, and with most of humankind killed in the war and the rest sterile, a scientist - Kragus - gives the Clickers blood transfusions in the hope of making them capable of reproduction. He fails, but eventually finds out that he too is a robot, but a more sophisticated one that is capable of procreation. (This was reportedly Andy Warhol's favourite film.)

I Criminali della Galassia/The Wild, Wild Planet/The Criminals of the Galaxy (1965)

An evil scientist kidnaps and miniaturizes world leaders with the aid of artificial (and inflatable!) robot women.

Cybertracker (1994)

A secret agent finds out that a senator - who is promoting the use of Trackers, invulnerable police androids - is up to dirty tricks. The secret agent eventually has the senator's security agents, and the Trackers, after him.
